What App Do I Need to Use???
During this time, in an effort to protect some of our high-risk patients, some appointments have been rescheduled to video visits. Depending on your provider’s hospital affiliation, you may use either JeffConnect or MyChart as your telehealth options. Please see the list below to determine which option is best for you:
Use JeffConnect to access a Virtual Urgent Care provider 24×7 or if you have a scheduled visit with your provider at the following locations: Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, Einstein Healthcare Network
Use MyChart patient portal if your provider sees patients at the following locations: Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience, Jefferson Methodist Hospital, Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital, Jefferson Stratford Hospital, Jefferson Washington Township Hospital, Abington Jefferson Health, Abington Lansdale Jefferson Health, Jefferson Bucks Hospital, Jefferson Frankford Hospital, Jefferson Torresdale Hospital
To schedule a video visit with a Jefferson Center City, New Jersey, Abington or Northeast provider:
Create a Jefferson Health MyChart account to access and start your visit.
The MyChart patient portal allows you to use a mobile or desktop app to speak with your physician through a video connection. In order to use this feature:
- You must have an active MyChart account to have a video visit.
- You must activate your MyChart account at least one day in advance of your visit, to minimize the possibility any last minute technical challenges.
- If you do not yet have a MyChart account, your scheduler at 1-800-JEFF-NOW can send you a link for Instant Activation.

- Have a back-up device ready in case there are any technical issues.
- When registering your account, use your name as it is stated on your license or identification card.
- You will receive an email with a link to connect to your appointment at the time it is scheduled. If you do not see the email, check your spam folder. Call your provider’s office if you do not get the email.
- Arrive for your appointment between 5-15 minutes early. You will not be able to join your visit more than 15 minutes before your scheduled time.
- If you arrive more than 15 minutes before your appointment, do not choose “Request a Visit,” as this directs you to the on-demand platform in JeffConnect. Exit the screen and log-in again within 15 minutes.
- Make sure you allow access to your camera and microphone.
- Allow camera and microphone access when prompted. See guide for specific browser information.
- If there are any issues, we recommend refreshing your browser. If that does not resolve the issue, both you and the provider should leave the visit and then rejoin.
- If you are having connection issues, switch to another Wi-Fi network if possible. If you are on a smartphone, you can also try switching to data.
